2005-03-24	IESure!	1	lh811march	The program might have some very useful features but since it did nothing when called then it obviously did nothing. I downloaded the latest version and installed it. It appeared as a BHO in BHO Demon and many other utilities that list BHOs. It appeared in IE's Tools menu. Yet when I clicked on its menu entry (or hit its F2 hotkey), nothing happened. No window appeared, nothing showed up, so the program could not be configured. I got it primarily for its proposed URL filtering but obviously I need to specify the URL that is to get blocked. Nice idea, poor implementation.

2005-03-06	MailEnable Standard	8	meister	Been using it for about 4 months now without so much as a hiccup. Very stable and robust, and this is the free version. At work I have had many instances where the Exchange servers would lock and crash, not my home server!!!!! The only thing I would like to see is allowing some plug-ins for the free version( I know it's a long shot ) but for us home users who like to play, It would be great !

2005-02-13	IESure!	3	AlphaTest	I just downloaded version 5.5, installed, and trialed IEsure. No way this is staying on my computer. After installing IEsure, it took 55 seconds to load my home page. I used BHO Demon to disable the BHO for IEsure and the page only took 7 seconds to load fully. I reenabled their BHO and again the load time to completely retrieve the page was over 50 seconds. Yeah, it might provide some nice features but it chokes the hell out of the bandwidth for the browser. No thanks. IEsure has been uninstalled. Also, they need to improve their uninstall procedure. After uninstalling IEsure, it left behind C:\Windows\System32\iesure.exe. It also left behind the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\XUEBROTHERS" although there was nothing under it. I'm still trying to figure out a couple of class IDs that got left behind. Good thing that I use InstallWatch to take a snapshot before installing IEsure and analyzed the changes remaining after uninstalling IEsure to let me know what remnants got left behind.
